Community Wildfire Protection Plans
Our CWPP work combines on-the-ground wildfire suppression experience with practical risk assessment and mitigation planning. We focus on identifying priority risks, realistic mitigation actions, and implementation strategies that improve firefighter access, community safety, and structure survivability when wildfire occurs.
Risk Assessment
Our CWPP wildfire risk assessments identify how fire is most likely to impact a community under real-world conditions. Using direct wildfire suppression experience, we evaluate fuels, terrain, weather patterns, access, and infrastructure to understand fire behavior, exposure pathways, and operational constraints.
We assess structure vulnerability, firefighter access and safety, and areas where suppression efforts are most likely to be effective. The result is a clear identification of priority risk areas and practical mitigation actions that improve community preparedness and defensibility.

Action & Mitigation
The Action & Mitigation Plan translates wildfire risk findings into clear, prioritized steps a community can take to reduce exposure and improve defensibility. Our plans focus on mitigation actions that are realistic, effective, and aligned with how wildfires are actually managed during an incident.
Based on the risk assessment, we identify priority treatment areas, recommended fuels reduction strategies, access and infrastructure improvements, and preparedness measures that support both evacuation and suppression efforts. Actions are prioritized to help communities focus resources where they will have the greatest impact.
The result is a practical, implementation-focused plan that provides decision-makers with a clear roadmap for reducing wildfire risk over time.
